PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio reproducing apparatus for which whether the connection of a speaker is normal or defective can be easily checked. SOLUTION: A pull-up circuit 8 is connected to an audio signal output part 4, and the pull-up circuit 8 has a pull-up resistor (r) connected between a voltage V and the audio signal output part 4 with each other. A comparator 9 is provided for comparing levels of voltages which flow to the audio signal output part 4. In the comparator 9, a check line 9A is connected to a positive pole of an input side, a reference voltage line 9B is connected to a negative pole, and a microprocessor 10 is connected to an output part. Based upon an L output or an H output from the comparator 9, the microprocessor 10 judges whether the connection of a speaker 7 is normal or defective. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
