AIR FLOTATION TYPE BELT CONVEYOR EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that improper shape is formed in a guide plate made of a metal material when manufacturing the guide plate and thereby a contact between a conveyor belt and the guide plate is generated to increase the transportation resistance. SOLUTION: This air floatation type conveyor equipment is provided with the guide plate 1 having the predetermined curved surface part 2, the conveyor belt 5 travelling along the inner surface of the guide plate 1, and a pressure air supply device for supplying the pressure air between the conveyor belt 5 and the guide plate 1 to float the conveyor belt 5. The guide plate 1 having the curved surface part 2 is formed from a fiber reinforced plastic 4, and 5 %-30 % of thickness in relation to the whole thickness of the guide plate is formed with a layer of the carbon fiber reinforced plastic 34. The guide plate 1 having the predetermined curved surface part and the strength is thereby manufactured without generating deformation thereof. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
