PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover capable of sufficiently absorbing an impact resulting from a collision even if a vehicle or the like violently collides with a column and thereby preventing damage to the column and the vehicle. SOLUTION: The protective cover is provided with an angle (3) fixedly stuck to corners of a column or the like, a cover material (4) fixed to the angle (3) for coating the angle (3), and cap materials (6) connected to the upper end and the lower end of the cover material (4). The cover material (4) forms the whole body in an approximately dome-shape to make it possible to form a space (5) between the angle (3) and the cover material, the cap materials (6) have curved faces to enable the upper end and the lower end of the cover material (4) to be closed in shapes of circular arcs, and the impact resulting from the collision with the vehicle or the like can thereby be absorbed by the space (5).
