PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve simulation using various input/output data and timings for a target program without requiring external hardware. SOLUTION: This program simulation device comprises an instruction executing part (140) for executing the instructions of the target program, a message definition holding part (200) for holding messages to be conveyed from the target program being executed to an external application, coordinated with events showing changes in the conditions of the target program being executed, as message definitions, event detecting parts (170, 150, 190) for detecting the events, and a message transmitting part (210) for transmitting the messages corresponding to the detected events directly to the external application in accordance with the description of the message definitions after receiving the notice of detected events.
