PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultraviolet-curing type coating film-forming composition having opacifying properties in spite of having a pearl-like appearance. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet-curing type coating film-forming composition comprises (A) 100 parts wt. of a photopolymerizable binder component, (B) 1-100 parts wt. of at least one kind of a pearl pigment selected from a bismuth compound crystal and alumina flakes and (C) 0.1-3 parts wt. of a photopolymerization initiator. The method for producing a coated metal can comprises applying the composition to a metal plate, a resin film laminated metal plate or a metal can obtained by molding and processing the metal plate or the resin film laminated metal plate and curing the composition by ultraviolet irradiation.
