PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for heat development which is free of temperature hunting and stable in density. SOLUTION: A heat developing device having an image exposure part which exposes a heat-development recording material to an image and a heat development part which makes a heater heat with the voltage from an AC power source for heat development is equipped with a temperature selecting circuit 73 which measures the temperature of the heater 72 of the heat development part and a voltage detection circuit 77 which detects the voltage of the AC power source 70, and performs temperature control, based on the detected values of those two detection circuits.
