PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a mounting state of an optical lens in a lens barrel and to easily set mounting attitude thereof when the optical lens is attached to an apparatus. SOLUTION: An optical element is constituted so that the optical lens 1 is housed in the lens barrel 2. In the optical lens 1, a lens part 1a and a flange part 1b around the lens part are integrally molded of the same material. In the lens barrel 2, through holes 2a, 2b are provided facing the flange part 1b of the optical lens 1, and convex parts 3a, 3b formed at the flange part 1b of the optical lens 1 are fitted in these through holes 2a, 2b. Thereby, the optical lens 1 does not separate from the lens barrel 2 and the optical lens 1 does not rotate in the lens barrel 2 to give a stable mounting state. Furthermore, since the through holes 2a, 2b can be seen from the outside, even when the optical element is a non-axisymmetrical lens, they can be considered as a reference mark for attaching the optical element to the apparatus.
