METHOD FOR REDUCING HIGH CYCLE FATIGUE OF TURBOCHARGER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the high cycle fatigue of a turbocharger for an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: In the method for reducing high cycle fatigue, a feed of fuel to an engine is controlled by an electronic engine control unit (ECU)1 according to a fuel map 2 of a fuel value necessary to conform to a different engine operation condition. The method has a step where a fuel value F related to a specified engine operation condition is changed. The step reduces the high cycle fatigue by disturbing operation of a turbocharger at the same constant speed each time a specified engine operation condition occurs. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
