PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of chip-like electronic components wastefully remaining on a rotary carry means in a taping apparatus. SOLUTION: Following means are employed in the taping apparatus to solve the problem. First, a raising means for raising the chip-like electronic component stuck to an adhesive sheet from the sheet is provided. Secondly, the rotary carry means having a plurality of holding means for the electronic components at circumferentially equal intervals for carrying the components in the circumferential direction is provided. Thirdly, the component peeled from the adhesive sheet is carried and put in an embossed tape. Fourthly, a counting means for counting the number of the received components is provided. Fifthly, when the number of the received components reaches a predetermined number, an operation of supplying the components is stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
