The synchronization method incorporates synchronization steps, e.g. for slot synchronization and frame synchronization, one or more identification steps and one or more verification steps, at least one of the latter executed in parallel with a synchronization step and/or an identification step. An Independent claim for a device for synchronization of a mobile radio receiver with a base station is also included.
