<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording ink set having light and deep magenta inks and being excellent in delivery stability and capable of giving an image having excellent preservability and reduced bleeding and to provide an inkjet recording method using the ink set. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording ink set has light and deep magenta inks in different concentrations, wherein the light and deep magenta inks are prepared by dissolving or dispersing azo dyes having specified structures in an aqueous medium, and the relationships: [content of a water-miscible organic solvent in light magenta ink] ≤ [content of a water-miscible organic solvent in deep magenta ink] is satisfied.
