<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc brake capable of miniaturizing a caliper by maintaining an abutted state of a ball ramp mechanism to a bottom side of a cylinder without using a radial outer side snap ring and suppressing enlargement of a diametral size of the cylinder, and capable of extensively reducing work manhours and costs necessary for manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: The ball ramp mechanism 32, a push rod 53, a push rod energizing member 68, and a cover member 67 are provided as a cartridge 73 of one assembly.
