<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus having a miniaturized hinge mechanism and high operability for opening/closing and inverting a display unit. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus is provided with the hinge mechanism 13 for coupling a computer body 2 with a display unit 3. The hinge mechanism 13 comprises first shafts 16a for coupling the display unit 3 with the body 2 so as to open/close the unit 3 and a second shaft 17 for coupling the display unit 3 with the body 2 so as to turn the unit 3 in the horizontal direction. The body 2 has a brake mechanism 21 to which brake force for restricting the rotation of the unit 3 around the first shafts 16a is given and the display unit 3 has an engagement member 31 which can be moved to an engaged position on which the member 31 is engaged with the brake mechanism 21 and a disengaged position on which the member 31 is separated from the brake mechanism 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
