<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the production of a wheel which achieves further light weight or improvement in mechanical character as compared with a previous wheel without requiring an additional component. <P>SOLUTION: The wheel for a vehicle comprises a hub 20 and a wheel rim 10 and is especially a light metal wheel. The wheel rim 10 is provided with each rim inner flange 18, a rim inner wale 16 shifting over to a rim outer flange 12 and a rim outer wale 14. A molded segment 37 forming a circumferential hollow chamber 47 is arranged at least in one area of either the rim inner wale 16 or the rim outer wale 14. The molded segment 37 is integrally molded to the wheel rim 10 by forming an integrally molded annular flange 30 in one area of either the rim outer wale 14 or the rim inner wale 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
