PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head in which the ink channel of a manifold can be cleaned sufficiently and connection work of a pipe for discharging cleaning liquid can be eliminated or facilitated, and to provide an inkjet printer employing that inkjet head. SOLUTION: The inkjet head 2 comprises a nozzle chip 21 juxtaposed with nozzles for ejecting ink, and manifolds 22a and 22b mounted on the side part of the nozzle chip 21 in order to introduce ink to the nozzle chip 21 wherein the manifolds 22a and 22b are provided, at the opposite ends in the juxtaposing direction E of nozzles, with channel tubes 22aA, 22aB, 22bA and 22bB having openings directed toward the opposite juxtaposing directions E of nozzles. Openings of one channel tubes 22aA and 22bA and the other channel tubes 22aB and 22bB are interconnected through linear ink channels 22aC and 22bC. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
