PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video disk player which does not give a user an unpleasant feeling due to a changeover of music together with video when sequentially reproducing recorded pieces of music to search for a desired piece of music, especially when it is desired to search principally for videos, in the case of reproducing a video disk in which a plurality of pieces of music is recorded with the videos and music made corresponding to each other. SOLUTION: A picture search processing part 11 for searching principally for videos is provided with memory 16 for an audio data buffer, and records all the audio data of continuously reproduced audio music pre-specified at the time of inputting picture search instructions. When searching for pictures, the picture search processing part 11 sequentially reproduces the video data of the music recorded in a disk 1 for a predetermined time each such as 30 seconds according to the instructions of a video reproducing control part 20 for searching and outputs them. In that case, as for the audio, the audio data for a specific piece of music recorded in the memory 16 are continuously reproduced and outputted irrespective of a changeover between videos.
