PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for minimizing the water-leak damage by quickly detecting the leak of water through a water seal sheet separating the soil of a roof garden from the floor surface of the roof and provide a method for protecting lawn laid on the roof garden to allow free access to the lawn similar to the lawn on the ground. SOLUTION: Unit members 1 each composed of legs and a flat plate are laid on a roof surface to form a 2nd plane, a water seal sheet 3 is laid on the 2nd plane and soil 4 for vegetation is placed on the water seal sheet 3 to use the 2nd plane for greening. The roof greening structure has a space between the roof surface and the 2nd plane. The occurrence of water leakage from the 2nd plane and the leaking position are detected by using the space. The roof greening structure is covered with a net and the load is supported by the net to prevent the direct application of the load on the lawn and allow the free access of person to the lawn.
