PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductor oxide thick film formed on a surface of a base plate or a base body and having a high Jc and Ic, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The preparing method for the superconductor oxide having the high Jc and Ic and a film thickness of≥130μm comprises the steps of weighing prescribed amounts of raw materials including elements of Bi, Pb, Sr, Ca, and Cu, mixing and baking, milling, drying, adding with an organic binder and an organic vehicle to form a (Bi, Pb)<SB>2+a</SB>Sr<SB>2</SB>Ca<SB>2</SB>Cu<SB>3</SB>O<SB>Z</SB>superconducting paste, coating in a thickness of≥260μm on the base plate surface or the base body surface, drying, baking at a temperature of 835 to 840°C for 100 hours, pressurized, and further baking at a temperature of 835 to 840°C for 100 hours.
