PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a record data to be copied between disk drives. SOLUTION: A disk drive 100 in a copy source side establishes communication connection with a disk drive 200 in a copy destination when a copying operation is indicated by an operation of a switch 12. The disk drive 100 in the copy source side transfers a writing command and the record data to copy the record data to a recording medium of the disk drive 200 in the copy destination.
