PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-port optical module that can be manufactured at a low cost using conventional production equipment and members and also in a short development period of time. SOLUTION: The multi-port optical module is composed of a package 2 in which two optical input/output ports 10 are provided on the opposing side faces and a cover 8 which hermetically seals the package 2. In addition, an optical input/output port 15 is installed on the cover 8 nearly vertically to the light propagating direction of the optical input/output ports 10 provided in the package 2.
