PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a sublimation preventive coolant used in a condensing facility using ice as a heat absorber, so-called ice condenser, capable of substantially preventing a decrease in the sublimation of the ice filling the ice condenser. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method is to manufacture block ice bodies and is configured so that ice particles shaved, crushed, or in pellet form or flaked ice is injected into a molding cylinder having a strip-shaped projecting piece extending toward the center and molded with a compression force into a columnar shape, wherein borax is included and the freezing point is set to -5°C to -10°C, and each block ice body is provided along the axis with a slit extending outward in the radial direction and opening at the periphery. It is preferable that ice particles shaved, crushed, or in pellet form or flaked ice is injected into the molding cylinder and molded by a hydraulic press 31 with a compression pressure of approximately 30-40 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>, and a block ice body is yielded in a columnar shape having a diameter of 300 mm and a height of 300-500 mm.
