PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability in fitting an upper end of a hydraulic shock absorber into a mounting hole in a wheel house. SOLUTION: An upper portion of a rod 12 protruding telescopically from the upper end of a hydraulic cylinder 11 of a hydraulic shock absorber SA which suspends a wheel from a vehicle body is inserted from below into the mounting hole 22b in an upper wall 22a of the wheel house 22, and with a lower portion and the upper portion of the mounting hole 22b being held by a lower damper mount bushing 18 and an upper damper mount bushing 19, respectively, a nut 21 is then screwed on the upper portion of the rod 12 to thereby fasten the rod 12 to the upper wall 22a of the wheel house 22. As a temporarily fastening locking portion 18c which is brought into engagement with the mounting hole 22b in the wheel house 22 to prevent the fall of the hydraulic shock absorber SA is integrally formed on the lower damper mount bushing fixed to the rod 12, it is not necessary to hold the hydraulic shock absorber SA with a special tool in the wheel house 22, and the workability is drastically improved.
