PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a germanium-indium alloy-containing material which can easily form a thin film on various base materials, and can exhibit health promotion effect and therapeutic effect based on far infrared rays. SOLUTION: The germanium alloy-silica composite body comprises a germanium alloy and silica. Then, the germanium alloy comprises germanium and indium of 2 to 20% by a weight ratio to the germanium, has a grain shape, and is composed so as to be dispersed into the silica.
