PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for changing the photo-characteristic of an organic coloring compound, comprising applying a chemical modification to the molecular structure of the organic coloring compound. SOLUTION: This method for changing the photo-characteristic of the organic coloring compound is characterized by introducing a trisilylmethyl group of formula (1) (R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>9</SB>are each an alkyl, an alkoxy, or an alkenyl) or, for example, 2,2,3,3,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8-dodecamethyl-2,3,5,6,7,8-hexasilabicyclo[2,2,2]octan-1-yl group, as the group of formula (1), into the organic coloring compound.
