METHOD FOR REMOVING DISSOLVED HYDROGEN SULFIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and economically oxidizing and fixing hydrogen sulfide from a solution in which hydrogen sulfide is dissolved. SOLUTION: A trivalent Fe compound is added to a solution containing hydrogen sulfide to adjust not only the pH of the solution to 3 or less but also ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) to 0 mV (Ag/AgCl electrode reference) or more to fix hydrogen sulfide dissolved in the solution in a sulfur form. Reaction is preferably performed for 30 min or more. The Fe compound is iron hydroxide and the concentration thereof in the solution is preferably becomes 1 g/l or more with respect to an Fe amount.
