PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cook as much rice as possible within a predetermined period of time in the case rice is cooked successively by cooling the inside of a main body and shortening the time from the end of first rice cooking to the start of the next rice cooking. SOLUTION: A rice cooker is constituted so as to rectify a commercial power source 21 with a rectifier circuit 22, convert the DC power to high frequency power with an inverter circuit 25 and heat a pot 23 to be a rice cooking container with a heating means 24. Also, a microcomputer 28 is provided with a function of performing control so as to cool the inside of the main body with a main body cooling means 31 even during a period other than the period of a rice cooking operation.
