The device has a bottle insert device (1) at the top followed by the bottle crusher which has any number of single or multi-armed paddle beaters (3) which viewed sideways are aligned horizontal or inclined on axes (4) and act on the bottles in a to and fro or rotary motion with such frequency and/or at such speed that a granular size of 0.1 mm to 180.0 mm is achieved. The crusher can be fitted on a conventional container for recycling bottles or on a movable frame for garden use etc.
