Point system for track vehicles (3) comprises two different fixed track systems (1, 2) arranged parallel to each other in a region before a bifurcation point (A). The vehicle has two parallel track-guiding systems (4, 5), each assigned to one of the track systems. The vehicle can deactivate/activate at least one track-guiding system. When the track system assigned to this track-guiding system is functionally overriding the second track system, this first track system is arranged after the bifurcation point so that it removes the vehicle from the second track system or otherwise prevents the vehicle from following the second track system without obstructing travel on the second track system during deactivation/activation of the track-guiding system assigned to the first track system. A track system cannot be guided into the clearance gauge of the other track system and the functionally overriding track system must lie outside the clearance gauge of the other track syst em.
