The signal sequence detection method has a number of successive signals of the signal sequence (S) sampled periodically with determination of the probability that the signal sequence value at a sampling point is above or below a threshold value (SW), with adjustment of the threshold value after a defined time duration and determination of the new probability. An Independent claim for a visual monitor for providing a visual diagram of a detected signal sequence is also included.
