<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive brush capable of improving the fire-resistance, and also, reducing the manufacturing cost while maintaining the conductive performance required for an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The electrifying brush 20 as an image forming apparatus brush is constituted of a support shaft 21 formed of a metal round bar and belt-like pile fabric 31 joined to the surface of the support shaft 21. The pile fabric 31 is constituted of woven base cloth 33 and several pieces of pile yarn 36 woven into the base cloth 33. The pile yarn 36 is formed by twisting several pieces of fire-resistive aramide fabric having high durability, high heat-resistance, improved abrasion resistance, and also, good slidability. The conductivity is applied on the aramide fabric by mixing conductive material such as carbon fine particles into the aramide fabric. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
