<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil wherein the occurrence of troubles such as cracking of a resin insulator is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil 1 has a core section 5 having a rod-shape core, a cylindrical spool 4 arranged outside the core section 5 and wrapped with a coil section 40, a resin insulator injected into a gap 11 between the core section 5 and the spool 4 and then hardened, and a core centering member 10 inserted into the gap 11 for centering the core section 5. The linear expansion coefficient of the material constituting the core centering member 10 is designed somewhere between the linear expansion coefficient of the material constituting the spool 4 and that of the resin insulator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
