PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery ejection device for a reach type forklift that can disengage a hook from a vehicle body via small force and can reliably swing the hook to an ejection position. SOLUTION: A battery tray 2 has the hook 32 pivotable between a storage position to engage a vehicle body A and an ejection position to engage an ejecting projection 40 on a mast frame 16. An urging member 36 is disposed to urge the hook 32 toward the storage position, and a lever 44 is disposed on the vehicle body A to swing the hook 32 in the storage position to the ejection position against the urging force of the urging member 36. Engagement of the hook 32 with the ejecting projection 40 by forward motion of the mast frame 16 is retained against the urging force of the urging member 36. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
