PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a header of a heat exchanger easily processable in manufacture and capable of reducing a cost, and the heat exchanger equipped therewith. SOLUTION: Concerning this header of the heat exchanger, a plurality of tube insertion holes are bored on one facing side face of a pair of headers, side by side in the axial direction of both headers. A plurality of tubes inserted into facing tube insertion holes and connecting the headers are provided in parallel between the headers, and a corrugated fin is provided between adjacent tubes. In the header of the heat exchanger integrally brazed by blocking both ends in the axial direction of the header, the header has a molded plate member where the tube insertion holes are provided, and an extruded molded member where a groove for sliding and inserting the side edge of the molded plate member is provided on a connection part of both side edges, and is formed by sliding and inserting both side edges of the molded plate member into the grooves on both connection parts of the molded member.
