摘要	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve capable of suppressing noise when starting an air conditioner and saving power. SOLUTION: Stroke of a valve element is set in such a way that refrigerant flows 1.0 to 1.4 times flow rate of set number of ton. Consequently, since degree of opening of the valve is limited to degree of opening by which refrigerant flows only 1.0 to 1.4 times flow rate of the set number of ton while the valve element is fully opened when starting the air conditioner, unnecessary and extra amount of refrigerant does not flow to suppress flow noise of refrigerant when starting the air conditioner.
