PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a glass molding machine which is capable of monitoring and operating the conditions of the glass molding machine from a distant place. SOLUTION: A network 6 is arranged between the controller 1 for the glass molding machine and an external operation unit 8 provided at a place distant from the controller 1. In the controller 1, data received from the external operation unit 8 are analyzed as commands by a communication data processing section 3 through a communication processing section 2, the analyzed data are converted into commands of an execute form which can be executed by a command practice section 4 at the inside of the controller 1, and the results obtained by executing these execute form commands in the glass mold machine are converted into reply data by the information data processing section 3 and transmitted to the external operation equipment 8.
