PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a wasteful power consumption by using a heating means according to the need of a user. SOLUTION: The dishwasher 1 comprises a casing 2 having a washing tub 3, a water supply means (electromagnetic valve 4 for water supply), a draining means (pump 11), washing water, a heating means (heater 7) for heating rinsing water and the air in the washing tub 3, a fan 18 for drying dishes by circulating the air in the washing tub 3, a control means (microcomputer 20) for controlling washing and executing each process of rinsing and drying. During each process of washing, rinsing and drying, necessity of heating by the heating means, of washing water, rinsing water and the air in the washing tub 3 is individually selected.
