The invention relates to an emitter for infrared radiation of biological material. The inventive emitter emits infrared radiation when heating up and comprises a functional element which is made of a ceramic material and influences the spectral range of the infrared radiation emitted by the infrared emitter and a support which is made of a carrier material. Said ceramic material contains at least one component from the following group: Al2O3, B2O3, CaO, CaCO3, CaZrO3, CeO2, Cr2O3, CuO, FeO, Fe2O3, Fe3O4, Gd2O3, LaAl2O4, MgAl2O4, MgCr2O4, MgO, SiO2, YCr2O3, and ZrO2. |
