USE OF A COMBINATION OF DPPE WITH OTHER CHEMOTHERAPEUTIC AGENTS FOR THE TREATMENT OF BREAST CANCER

An improved adjuvant treatment of stage I or II breast cancer in which patients are administered a chemotherapeutic agent active in breast cancer i s provided in which a diphenyl compound which is a potent antagonist of histamine binding at the intracellular histamine receptor is initially administered prior to administration of the chemotherapeutic agent. Such pretreatment is expected to lead to longer overall survival for patients who have received no prior chemotherapy or no prior treatment type (chemotherapy , radiotherapy and/or hormone treatment) or estrogen receptor-negative tumors.
