<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molecular tagging system for tracking, collecting and identifying compounds. <P>SOLUTION: A method for tracking, identifying and/or sorting classes or subpopulations of molecules by using oligonucleotide tags, and materials therefor are provided. Disclosed are a method for binding a double-stranded DNA to a solid support material, a method for binding the oligonucleotide tag to a polynucleotide in a population, a composition containing a homogeneous population comprising the solid support material and a complementary material of the oligonucleotide, a composition containing a mixture of microparticles, a cDNA library including a plurality of cDNAs binding to the microparticles, a library of genomic DNA fragments including a plurality of genomic DNA fragment libraries binding to the microparticles, and a repertory of the oligonucleotide tags. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
