<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle detector which can surely remove a foreign matter in a short time when the matter is adhered to a transceiver for transmitting and receiving a radio wave for detecting an obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: The obstacle detector includes the transceiver 1 for transmitting and receiving the radio wave for detecting the obstacle, a distance calculator 2 for calculating a distance to the obstacle based on a signal transmitted and received by the transceiver 1, a fault detector 3 for judging the adhesion of the matter to the vicinity of the transceiver 1 when the distance calculated by the calculator 2 is shorter than a preset reference value and outputting a fault occurrence signal, and a mechanical foreign matter removing means 5 for mechanically removing the matter in response to the fault detection of the detector 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
