<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of a locking mechanism by making invisible a striker and a latch device composing the locking mechanism from above, and maintain the stable operational characteristic of the locking mechanism by suppressing the degree of the rotation of the striker. <P>SOLUTION: The locking mechanism locks a lid 3 that is turnably pivoted to a substrate 2 via a connecting piece 33B and turnably switched to an opening position for releasing the opening of the substrate 2 and a closing position, in a releasable manner at the closing position via the striker 52 and the latch device 6. The basic substance 2 comprises the latch device 6 mounted in correspondence with the coupling strip 33B, and an arm 5 turnably pivoted in correspondence with the latch device 6 and the coupling strip 33B. The arm 5, comprising the striker 52 locked and unlocked on the latch device 6, is moved to be coupled to the coupling strip 33B when the lid 3 is moved turnably via the coupling strip 33B to approach the closed position, then is further moved turnably in interlocking move by the approach of the lid 3, thus enables the striker 52 to be locked to the latch device 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
