<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing apparatus which can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: This sterilizing apparatus, having a steam generator equipped with a deaerator, supplies steam into a sterilizing chamber, where objects to be sterilized are contained, when they are sterilized by applying pressure to or reducing it from the chamber. It is also provided with a water-supply tank 20 for storing water to be sent to a steam generating device 30 from which the generated steam is sent to the sterilizing chamber 12, and a water sealing vacuum pump 48 which depressurizes the sterilizing chamber 12. In addition, a control unit 78 is provided to control the water-supply tank 20 and the water sealing vacuum pump 48 which are connected with each other, in a way that the water-supply tank 20 can be depressurized to deaerate incohesive gases such as oxygen dissolved in the water stored in the water-supply tank 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
