PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a checking method for the consistency of a system, maintaining consistency of a database throughout the batch system. SOLUTION: A unit tag defined by a basic prescription and a system is found from a prescription database and a unit tag name is found from a control station unit database. A corresponding unit sequence is retrieved from the definition of the unit tag name, using both of the tag and a general name as keys. The consistency of the system before operation can be checked.
