PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing method which is stabler in density and can shorten a printing time. SOLUTION: In the heat developing method of supplying light or heat to a heat development recording material including a heat development photosensitive material or photosensitive heat-sensitive recording material for heat development, target temperature of a heater is made higher than usual right after a heat developing device is actuated and then the increase width is decreased with the time.
