PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light quantity controlling device excellent in improvement of assembling operability of a light quantity adjusting means using a physical property element such as an EC element, prevention of a continuity defect and a maintenance property and to provide a lens barrel provided with the same. SOLUTION: When the light quantity adjusting means using the EC element is assembled in a holding means, an electrode part and a terminal part of the EC element are held in an energized state by an energizing means. A plurality of terminals are provided for one electrode pattern to prevent the continuity defect and an operation check before a fastening operation is made possible. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
