PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and efficiently conduct slip-out work in a shaft by using a plurality slip-out kibbles under a state that a complicated kibble exchange operation is omitted, while carrying in and carrying out materials and mechanical equipment easily in boring a tunnel from the shaft. SOLUTION: This shaft excavator has a hanging-deck suspension means and a plurality of kibble suspension means 6 and 7, and kibble ropes 4 and 5 for the kibble suspension means are suspended at symmetric places relative to the center of a hanging deck while kibble through-holes 19 and 20 corresponding to the kibbles 15 and 16 are formed to a hanging deck 13. Hanging points of the hanging-deck ropes 5 and 6 are fitted on both sides of each through-hole 19 and 20, respectively, and each through-hole 19 and 20 and the hanging points of the ropes 5 and 6 are arrayed under a series state on a horizontal plane orthogonal to the center of the shaft.
