PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and inexpensively producing polyketone cord excellent in mechanical properties, heat resistance and dimensional stability in an industrial production speed. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyketone cord comprises the following process. A resorcinol-formalin-latex resin is applied onto 1-oxotrimethylene-based polyketone fibers≥60% in degree of crystallinity,≥90% in crystallite orientation degree and 1-10J/g in heat absorption peak area at 90-120°C determined by differential scanning calorimetry followed by carrying out a heat treatment at a temperature T of 120-180°C for t(s), wherein the t(s) meets the relationship: 650×exp(-0.027×T)≤t≤1.9×10<SP>6</SP>×exp(-0.027×T).
