PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based composition containing a (meth)acrylate compound, capable of being used in fields of a wide variety, such as various kinds of coatings, adhesives, resists, and printing ink, capable of being prevented from deterioration of its dissolution stability and dispersion stability, even when the (meth)acrylate compound is made to coexist with a colorant, such as a dye and a pigment in the aqueous solution, and capable of obtaining good water resistance after cured. SOLUTION: This water-based composition contains a (meth)acrylate compound and water, wherein the (meth)acrylate compound has an acetal bond and/or a hemiacetal bond in its molecule.
