PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the burden on power source equipment of a user of a crusher by controlling the switching time from star to delta by considering not only time but the number of revolutions of a rotor and current value thereof and reducing a value of inrush current at shifting to delta driving. SOLUTION: In a star-delta starter as a rotor driving apparatus, after the lapse of a predetermined time for star driving, the number of revolutions of the rotor and the current value thereof are detected. It is compared and operated whether the number of revolutions rises to a proper value and the current value comes to the proper value or lower. When the result of comparison and operation is OK, an operation mode of the star-delta starter is shifted to the delta driving from the star driving. When the result of comparison and operation is NO, the star driving mode is continued, and after it comes to be OK, the operation mode is shifted to the delta driving. Even after a lapse of the setting time for rotor starting from the starting of a rotor 13, when the result of comparison and operation is NO, the operation of an uniaxial crusher is shut down.
