PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic material treatment apparatus capable of efficiently drying the material to be treated moving in a treatment vessel. SOLUTION: The organic material treatment apparatus for drying organic materials such as garbage housed in the treatment vessel 1 by using a stirring means (such as stirring blades 5) and an air-blowing means is equipped with an air-blow direction changing means (such as a louver 38 and a temperature sensor 11) for changing the direction of the air blown from the air-blowing means into the treatment vessel 1 in the direction where there are a lot of materials to be treated.
